Photograph wedding décor clearly for resale

Useful resale photographs answer the questions a buyer would ask if the items were in front of them. Show the complete bundle, individual details and any damage. A clear phone photograph of the actual pieces is more helpful than a polished image that hides what is included.
Prepare the items and background
Separate the pieces you are selling from rentals, borrowed objects and props. Clean them only with methods appropriate to the material, then let them dry before photographing. Use an uncluttered background that contrasts with the items. Move mail, addresses, family photographs and other private details out of view. Mirrors and reflective frames can reveal the room behind the camera, so inspect those reflections before uploading.
Make one countable overview
Arrange the entire bundle so the quantity is understandable. If there are too many pieces for one photograph, divide them into clearly described groups and keep an inventory alongside the photos. Do not show 24 vases if only 18 are included unless the listing unmistakably explains the difference. A styled event photograph can provide context, but pair it with current photographs of the actual set and use only images you have permission to share.
Show size and important details
Include views of the front, back and any base or attachment that affects use. Photograph maker labels or model information where relevant. Place a ruler or tape next to an item when helpful, and write the measurements in the description as well; a photograph alone may be hard to read. For a mixed set, measure each distinct size rather than giving one number for the whole bundle.
Document condition honestly
Take close-ups of chips, stains, scratches, missing parts or repairs. Use a wider image too so the buyer can understand where a mark sits on the object. Avoid filters that alter the color or editing that removes damage. For battery-powered pieces, describe which functions you checked and when, without promising performance you have not established. Keep any testing claims limited to what you actually observed.
Organize the final photo set
Lead with the clearest overview, followed by representative items, measurements, included accessories and condition details. Review the photographs on a small screen to check that they still communicate the essentials. Make the description match the final photo set and remove anything no longer included. Keep original files until the sale is complete in case a buyer asks for another angle. Clear documentation can reduce repeated questions and help both sides agree on the same bundle.
